Keep Calm and inhale an oil!
While I plan on swimming and golfing this weekend, I know some parents are busy getting kids ready for the school year. Summer's still here, but that pesky school bell is gonna be ringin' real soon.
Being in school can be stressful! Studying for a test, getting homework done, pleasing the teacher, and worrying about a social life can really add stress and worry to a child’s life.
What's a parent to do? USE OILS OF COURSE! ;)
Lavender, clary sage, bergamot, basil, chamomile, and tangerine are some of the many essential oils that have a calming and uplifting effect.
I presented at our Fox Valley Community Health and Wellness class this past Monday evening, and I whipped up a calming blend to pass around class, and I am LOVING IT!
KEEP CALM BLEND:
- 10 drops of Lavender
- 15 drops of Orange
- 2 drops of Bergamot (if you have it; if not, it's still awesome!)
Put a roller ball on and rub those kids down the night before school starts--a little on their wrists, back of their neck--put it on their pillow--be creative. You're gonna want some for all your errands too to keep calm and inhale an oil as you're driving all over tarnation trying to find compasses, protractors, rulers and computer gadgets!
