Fresh as a flower...with vinegar?

Fresh as a flower!

Yes, my friends, that is exactly what you'll get--fresh, clean, ever-so-lightly scented clothing-- when you make the DIY fabric softener recipe below!

White vinegar as a rinse in your  loads of laundry is just what you need.  Add an essential oil (lavender or eucalyptus globulus, for example) and your clothes will be "fresh as a flower in just one hour!"  (Remember that old dry-cleaning ad!?)  Seriously, you're gonna love the clothes you're in!

It's both fragrant and effective and takes two things:

1 gallon white vinegar

20 drops of lavender essential oil (or lemon, lemongrass, eucalyptus--whatever oil you love)

Add the oil to the vinegar right in that container from the store..  Voila:  Instant fabric softener.

Simply shake well before using.  For a large load, I fill the rinse cycle cup.  (If you don't have that, add 1 cup) during the rinse cycle.

{1/2 C during the rinsing of a smaller load will be perfect.}  I use it with whites, colors, delicates--whatever goes into the washing machine gets rinsed with this natural softener!)

Bounce those scentsy-toxic-nasty fabric sheets to the curb.  And JUMP into your fresh clothes FREE of toxic chemicals for less than $5!  And live greener and cleaner with such ease, you'll wanna know more ideas from me!

Are you interested in more tips like these?  Let me know!  I'd love to share!

Until next time, love and light!

Sharon :)
