"Oil-Spot" idea for great skin!

Are you interested in a natural recipe and beauty regime to help with pesky breakouts?  Try this "oil spot" idea!

  • 4 drops Melrose  blend¹
  • 4 drops Purification blend
  • 4 drops Thieves blend
  • 4 drops Lavender
  • About 1 tsp sweet almond oil (or other carrier oil like grapeseed )
  • 5 ml glass bottle with plastic dropper and cap (or an empty 5 ml essential oil bottle.) { See Note below! }

  1. Add essential oils to 5 ml glass bottle.
  2. Fill with sweet almond oil or grapeseed oil (natural astringent properties.)
  3. Shake well and use as needed as a spot treatment for acne.

coolWhat do you do with your empty bottles?  Sure, you could toss 'em in the recycling bin.  But why not keep them for "oily ideas" you'll learn from The Frontier or from your oily friends?  Here's how to clean them quickly:

How to clean your left-over essential oil bottles:

  • Peel as much of the label off the bottle as possible. (Or not--I use masking tape and write with a Sharpie--super fast changeover!)
  • Remove the plastic dropper and cap from each bottle.
  • Soak all parts (bottle, plastic dropper and cap) in a bowl or sink full of warm water for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove one bottle and add 1-2 drops of Lemon essential oil. Rub the bottle vigorously to remove the sticky label. Repeat for all bottles.
  • Place all bottles, plastic droppers and caps in a separate large bowl of warm water with a half capful of Thieves Household Cleaner to remove the remnants of the previous oil in the bottle and plastic dropper to remove any remaining sticky residue.
  • Let all bottle parts air dry.
  • Reuse as needed.

¹ Melrose is a blend of:  Rosemary, Melaleuca Alternifolia a/k/a Tea Tree, Clove and Melaleuca Quinquenervia.  Multiple uses and a blend you do need to add to your arsenal for wellness:  At first signs of a sore throat, I take a drop on my pink finger and eat it once every ten minutes for an hour--usually after six doses (drops) of Melrose, I can nip it in the bud--It's also fabulous for cleansing minor cuts and scrapes.  You'll use it!
