Doing laundry is a breeze!
Yes, my friends, another blog today...THAT's how cold and rainy it is here in Wisconsin!
I'm enjoying a quiet Saturday as Tim cooks an Italian dinner for us. I'm in charge of laundry, and I do need to run downstairs and shift the clothes, BUT here's a super easy do-it-yourself recipe for a healthy alternative to store-bought varieties.
BASIC LIQUID LAUNDRY DETERGENT
2 Cups of Liquid Castile Soap
1/4 C white vinegar (You already bought this to make the wonderful softener I blogged about last week!)
2 Tablespoons Glycerin
3/4 C Water
30 - 35 drops of an essential oil of your choice (I prefer Eucalyptus and Lavender!)
Combine all the ingredients into a plastic container or squirt bottle. Shake once or twice every time before adding to the water in the washing machine.
To use: Add 1/4 C per average load; 1/2 C for exxtra large or heavily soiled loads. That's it. Easy, isn't it?
And this detergent may be used in HE washers.....
Don't forget to send me your healthy "scentsational" uses for your oils--I'll credit you when I include it in my blogs!
Love and light and off to the basement I go...
Frontier Sharon (yes, I do laundry--I just do NOT vaccuum!) :)
