Our thoughts are prayers...

As I was journaling this morning, contemplating my day, I was reminded of a gardening metaphor that always comes up each spring--a perennial thought like the tulips and daffodils that appear in our flower beds and landscapes each and every year without our doing anything except initially planting them deep into the soil, and then allowing them to become what they are.  Life is like that--our hopes and dreams do come true once we put them into the light of day from the recesses of our minds and deep yearnings of our hearts.

What are you planting in your mind this spring:  It's true that the future is made up of our thoughts and dreams of today--this very moment.  Are you thinking BIG or complaining that this year is just like the last and nothing ever changes?  I sprinkled my journal pages this morning with Oola GROW that I received free this month.  I'm not a fan of the scent--I find it soft and pretty, but I'm a bolder sort of Sacred Mountain, Ylang Ylang and Black Pepper or Joy sort of gal in the morning.  (Earthy Virgo!!!) But I created my journal-diffuser and love its symbolism:   I simply blessed my hopes and dreams with oils, enjoyed inhaling and thinking about my intentions and prayers, and "watered them" with this oil blend named Grow.  Then I decided to put a few drops of Surrender into my palms and inhale 6 - 8 times for a count of ten.  And I then went upstairs to dress for the day and blessed my wrists, my ears, my shoulders, back and feet with Abundance.  I believe the frequency of these oils do help me manifest my dreams.  I keep clear my intentions; for what I place in that vast Universe--the Mind as some refer to it, God, Great Spirit--whatever I plant there will indeed be manifest and returned (reflected back ) in my life.

"Our thoughts are prayers, and we are always praying.  Our thoughts are prayers, be careful what you're saying...."  I used to sing these lyrics at my church in Milwaukee every Sunday, and the melody and words flow through my head often..."and know that God is always there.  My every thought becomes a prayer."

  • Whether or not you're in a sacred space you've created, a church pew at mass, or wandering through the grocery store, be mindful of your thoughts.
  • Keep light, and love and peace at the forefront of your consciousness.
  • Think about what you WISH to happen; kindly brush aside those thoughts that pass through that you really don't need anymore (nor wish to manifest.)
  • And enjoy the future you're creating every day.

Love and light until next time,

Sharon :)

Thieves to the rescue!

It's Holy week around the world for folks of the Christian faith, and I find it a sacred time to reflect and feel the Love of the Creator as I view  my life and observe all my blessings.  Yesterday, as Tim and I celebrated Palm Sunday, we attended church and joined the entire congregation filing into the sanctuary, palm branches high above our heads while singing a festive hymn.  After the service, we were able to retrieve a palm to take home, and we placed ours on the fireplace mantle next to the nails we received last Good Friday--totems, reminders of all that we believe occurred in the life of Jesus. I love this holiday.  And whether or not you're a Believer, or consider yourself spiritual, I truly hope you take time for yourself this week and pause for reflection on all the good in your life, and see your blessings everywhere.

Your Lucky Day is NOW!

St. Patrick

It's fun to dream that under the rainbow is a large pot of gold!  It's fun to imagine that you could really have anything in this world if you only believed.  It's delightful to work in my home office on a Friday with a fireplace glowing as my loving husband puts a chicken dinner together.  Do you know that I manifested my dream life?  And that you can too?

Yes, I pray and yes, I use my essential oils.  Together, it's a win-win.  Now, some folks say, "All you need is prayer.  God doesn't care about the oils," blah blah blah.  God is.  And that is truth.  But what IF these oils and their high frequencies actually promoted a change in YOU so that you could attract your dreams?

Enjoy this weekend.  Spring is right around the corner.  And take a few moments over the next couple days to "Blue Sky Dream."  Believe that your lucky day is now!

What does that mean?  Just list 1 - 10 on a sheet of paper anything you wish you could do/be/have/own/experience.  That's it.  Dream like a kid.  Believe in a fairy or leprachaun taking your dream to the land beyond the Rainbow's edge where unicorns frolic and there are shamrocks as far as the eye can see--and then just sit back and dream how that would be.

Happy St. Patrick's day, my friends!  May the luck of the Irish be with you all every day!  And may you create your dreams with a little help from yourself by dreaming it to be so!  (And if you'd like to try dreaming and believing with an essential oil, send me a message or call me.  Dream Catcher, Build your Dream, Believe, Joy, Envision, Hope--to name a few right here.   Let me know!)

Love and light til next time,

Sharon :)

Cheers to a spa-velous weekend!!!

Spa-velous

Ahh, the cherished "week-end" is here!  We all need to take some time out of our day to relax.  Sometimes, however, it's only on that snowy Friday night or lazy Saturday that we actually take advantage of a sip of bubbly and a soak in the tub.  Do you wanna create a spa at home this weekend (or any time) to alleviate the stress of the day from work, school, or any other pressures in life?  Then keep reading!

One good way to relax is by creating your own "at-home spa experience." You can do this by incorporating therapeutic grade Young Living essential oils into your normal morning and evening routines. Here are few ideas to try:

Create a calming bath: Mix Epsom salts, baking soda (1/2 C each) and about 5 to 10 drops of a calming essential oil into a warm bath. Some recommended essential oils to use are Lavender, Bergamot, or Peppermint. The essential oils in the bath are calming because they are inhaled and have direct contact with the skin.  The soda and salt help muscles relax and absorb the oils--I recommend at least 20 minutes with soothing music, candles or absolute silence--it's your spa -- indulge yourself with what YOU love and need!

Enhance your lotions.   I love YL's Genesis hand and body lotion.  I actually add a carrier oil to stretch it out a bit--it's thick and luxurious on its own--I just like it last longer--it's up to you.  Add a couple of drops of Tea Tree, Lavender, Cedarwood, or Frankincense essential oils into your lotions. You’ll be amazed by the results.  Oh, they'll smell so good!

Relax with a foot bath. Mix a couple of drops of Lavender, Tea Tree, Peppermint, or Bergamot essential oils to into a square-sized bucket that’s big enough for your feet. Make sure the oils are evenly mixed in the water and dip your feet in. You’ll love the way your feet will feel after this foot bath!

Diffuse:  If you're out of baking soda and/or epsom salts, add them to your grocery list.  And still take a calming bath.  Set up your diffuser with something awesome--like Cedarwood and Pine if you're in the mood to sit in the forrest; or Ylang Ylang and Black Pepper--its scent is of carnations and lovely and kinda sexy; or Lavender would do the trick for a scent-sational relaxing tub.  Got a hot date later tonight?  By all means, soak away the day but diffuse Peppermint--and after your bath, towel dry, put Joy, Ylang Ylang and/or Lady Sclareol on your pulse points and behind your ears--and don't forget that drop of peppermint on your tongue for a super-powered hello!

Oh, yeah--don't forget the organic strawberries!  They're just soooo spa-velous!

If you have any questions about how to create your own at-home spa experience, please feel let me know. I’m happy to provide any recommendations I've used.

Love and light,

Sharon :)
